Happy woman interacting with baby

Sign language can be an essential tool for young babies and toddlers to start communicating their needs and wants with caregivers. Come learn how to foster communication and connection for your whole family.

Key Topics / What to Expect:

Sign language can support early communication and help babies and toddlers express their needs before they are able to speak. We’ll explore why signing is such a powerful tool during early development and how it can reduce frustration while strengthening connection between caregivers and children.

You’ll gain practical, easy-to-use guidance on how to introduce sign language in a way that feels natural, playful, and pressure-free.

Together, we’ll cover:

  • Why sign language supports early communication and emotional development

  • When to start using signs and how to recognize readiness cues

  • Simple strategies for teaching signs through daily routines and repetition

  • How to model signs consistently without overwhelming your child

  • Commonly used and practical signs related to everyday needs, such as eating, sleeping, comfort, and play

By the end of the workshop, you’ll feel confident beginning to use sign language right away and equipped with tools that support your child’s communication, connection, and confidence during these early developmental stages.

BONUS

You will get a packet of common signs to take home!
