When our village unites, meaningful change begins. The following events aren’t just happening around you; they’re built for you. Want to sharpen your skills? Grow your network, or show up for your community? This is where it starts. Check back often. Reach out and connect.
Not Your Average Story Slam: Birth Worker Edition is a lively, women-only storytelling event hosted by Stephanie Theriault of the Maternal WealthⒸ Podcast and birth professionals Enza Lilley and Erin Ronder Neves. Enjoy an evening of hors d’oeuvres, laughter, connection, and unforgettable birth-worker stories. This intimate gathering is designed for birthing people and women who want community, sisterhood, and a night of honest, meaningful storytelling. No children, please—just real stories and real connection.
The Keeping Your Power®: Advocacy in Action workshop is a two-day (9–5) interactive training for doulas and labor & delivery nurses who want to strengthen their advocacy skills, reduce birth trauma, and keep birthing people involved in decision-making. Participants will explore bias, true responsibilities, compassionate communication, and real birthroom scenarios to build confidence and clarity. Facilitated by veteran doula and mentor Traci, this workshop equips birth-workers to support families while helping them keep their power.
Keeping Your Power®: Advocacy Training for Families teaches parents how to confidently self-advocate during pregnancy, prenatal appointments, and labor. Building on the Keeping Your Power® for Doulas companion class, families learn critical thinking, communication skills, red flags to watch for, and how to stay involved in every decision to reduce the risk of trauma. Facilitated by veteran doula and mentor Traci, this workshop empowers parents to understand their beliefs, speak up, and work effectively with their birth team.
This in-person class—taken prenatally or after baby arrives—teaches lifesaving CPR concepts with hands-on practice so you feel confident responding to emergencies. You’ll learn adult, child, and infant CPR, choking response, AED use, and common infant emergencies. Babies are welcome. Please note: this is an educational class, not a certification course. Class size is limited to 16. Financial assistance is available for the community and MASS Health members. Facilitated by William Jones, Beverly Firefighter and McNeilly EMS Educator.
Bambino Baskets non-profit organization that is dedicated to providing baby essentials such as clothing, diapers, wipes and bottles to children birth to seven years who are in critical need. They partner with community organizations such as HAWC, Action, Inc., and Wellspring that refer caregivers to shop free of charge at their store in Beverly Farms, MA. Beyond Birthing is a drop off point for any donations. Please reference Bambino Basket’s “Ways to Help” ( See link below ) for a full list of accepted items. Thank you for considering donating your new or gently used items to help increase access and quality of life for all caregivers and their children.
Beyond Birthing’s mission is to ensure that all families have access to quality, evidence-based prenatal education and comprehensive labor, birth, and postpartum support. We believe every parent deserves care that meets them exactly where they are—without barriers, judgment, or exclusion.
To help close the gap in access, we’re creating opportunities for community members to sponsor families in need throughout their perinatal journey. Your gift goes directly to a local family seeking support.
Beyond Birthing offers prenatal education classes and workshops, prenatal and postpartum support groups, and infant workshops to the North Shore community. In order to keep the cost for those attending low and accessible, we are graciously seeking individuals and companies who will contribute to Beyond Birthing’s Community Support Fund. All funds will go directly to paying facilitators and facility fees in order to subsidize the individual cost for attendees. We thank you so much for your generosity.
Families buy many supplies in preparation for their labor, postpartum and breastfeeding journey. If you find yourself with a surplus of supplies for any of the following, we deeply appreciate your donation to the center so we can pass them along to other expecting families in the community.
We encourage ANYONE to come look at the supply closet before purchasing new items.
