  • Prenatal education classes, newborn care classes, support groups, yoga, workshops, and events offered by Beyond Birthing are not a substitute for professional medical care, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult with your healthcare provider before beginning any new routine, class, or wellness practice.
  • No provider-patient or clinician-patient relationship is established through use of this website or participation in our services.
  • Beyond Birthing does not diagnose, treat, or cure medical or mental health conditions. Clients remain responsible for their own healthcare decisions.
  • Beyond Birthing is not responsible for relationships formed with affiliated providers, as all providers operate as independent contractors and are not employees of Beyond Birthing.

 

3. Appointments, Eligibility & Payments

  • By scheduling an appointment or registering for services, you agree to provide accurate and complete information and to arrive on time.
  • You must be at least 18 years of age to participate in services or have consent from a parent or legal guardian.
  • Payments for prenatal education, newborn care classes, yoga, workshops, professional development offerings, and events are required in advance unless otherwise stated.
  • Payments for support groups are expected at the time of service unless otherwise agreed upon.
  • We reserve the right to modify service offerings and fees at any time.

 

4. Refunds, Cancellations & Illness

  • By booking services with Beyond Birthing, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to our Refund, Cancellation & Illness Policy.
  • Please refer to that policy for full details regarding cancellations, rescheduling, and refunds.

 

5. Assumption of Risk & Voluntary Participation

  • Participation in Beyond Birthing services, including but not limited to prenatal and postpartum education, yoga, movement-based classes, workshops, and support groups, involves inherent physical, emotional, and psychological risks, particularly during pregnancy and the postpartum period.
  • By participating, you voluntarily assume full responsibility for any risks, injuries, or damages that may occur. You agree to listen to your body, modify or stop participation as needed, and consult your healthcare provider with any concerns regarding your participation.

 

6. No Guarantees of Outcomes

  • Beyond Birthing does not guarantee specific outcomes related to pregnancy, labor, birth, postpartum recovery, lactation, mental health, or parenting experiences. Educational and supportive services are intended to provide information, tools, and support only, and individual outcomes will vary.

 

7. Independent Contractors & Scope of Practice

  • Beyond Birthing works with independent contractors, including doulas, educators, instructors, and wellness providers. These individuals are not employees of Beyond Birthing and are solely responsible for maintaining their own licensure, certifications, and scope of practice.
  • Beyond Birthing does not supervise or control clinical or medical decision-making and is not responsible for services provided by independent contractors beyond facilitating access to their offerings.

 

8. Privacy & Data Collection

  • Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
  • We do not sell or share personal data with third parties without consent, except as required by law.

 

9. Limitation of Liability

  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, Beyond Birthing shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from the use of our website or participation in services.
  • Participation in educational classes, yoga, movement-based workshops, and support groups is voluntary and undertaken at your own discretion and risk.

 

10. Community Guidelines & Code of Conduct

  • Beyond Birthing is committed to providing a respectful, inclusive, and emotionally safe environment. We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue services to any participant whose behavior is disruptive, unsafe, discriminatory, or disrespectful to staff or other participants.
  • Removal from a class, group, or event due to conduct violations may occur without refund.

 

11. Photography & Media

  • From time to time, Beyond Birthing may take photographs or videos during classes, events, or group sessions for educational or marketing purposes. By participating in in-person services, you grant permission for your likeness to be used unless you notify us in writing prior to the session.
  • We respect participant privacy and will not intentionally identify individuals by name without explicit consent.
  • If you prefer not to be photographed or recorded, please notify a staff member before your session begins.

 

12. Third-Party Links

  • Our website may contain links to third-party websites. Beyond Birthing is not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of external sites.

 

13. Force Majeure

  • Beyond Birthing is not responsible for delays, interruptions, or cancellations of services due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to severe weather, public health emergencies, natural disasters, facility issues, or staff illness. In such cases, services may be rescheduled or credited at our discretion.
