Prenatal Pelvic Floor Yoga Workshop

This workshop is great for ladies who are expecting and have questions about best practices during and after pregnancy regarding pelvic floor and abdominal function. We will start the workshop off with an info session, where you will learn:

-how to activate your pelvic floor muscles

-why it is important to strengthen your pelvic floor during and after pregnancy -how to prevent or treat incontinence

-abdominal exercises do’s and don’ts during and after pregnancy

-how to check for abdominal separation after pregnancy

-how to prevent or treat abdominal separation

There will also be time for questions and answers at the end. Following the info session, we will have a 60 min yoga movement practice where we will implement some of the best practices that we learned. This will be a slow flow class, and accessible to all levels and abilities.

Following our movement class, we will have tea time, and an opportunity to meet each other. This is such a transformative stage of life, and having support along the way makes all the difference! We look forward to the opportunity to facilitate this community event.

Emma has been teaching yoga since 2012. She did her pre and post natal yoga training in 2016, and taught pre and postnatal yoga through both of her pregnancies in 2017 and 2020. She loves helping women have a healthy pregnancy and postpartum recovery, where they feel confident, capable, and informed during this transformative time.
